The Legend of Luke Kelly 35th Anniversary Concert

Vicar Street,

Saturday 26th January 2019

The Legend of Luke Kelly Show returns to Vicar Street Dublin on Saturday 26th January 2019.

The show is a celebration of the songs and music of Ireland’s greatest balladeer and most famous member of the legendary band The Dubliners. The Legend of Luke Kelly show is fronted by singer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Kavanagh accompanied by his band. Over the previous years at the anniversary show, Chris has had some very special guests join him on stage to perform some of Luke Kelly’s most famous songs and music. Dubliner John Sheahan, musical maestro Declan O Rourke, Damian Dempsey, Aslan’s iconic frontman Christy Dignam and the one and only Shay Healy have all graced the stage in Vicar Street in tribute to Luke Kelly’s memory.

The Legend of Luke Kelly Show has been in existence now for 17 years and is still growing in popularity worldwide. Chris Kavanagh and his band have toured extensively and in August 2017 they sold out all their Australian tour dates.

Luke Kelly’s family totally endorse The Legend of Luke Kelly Show, as they see it as a very fitting and professional tribute to keeping the memory, songs and music of Luke alive. At all the previous Vicar Street shows Chris has had the privilege of Luke Kelly’s brothers, and Luke’s niece performing with him on stage. This is one night where the voices of the audience lift the roof off the venue as they sing all the very best songs in full voice celebrating the greatest ballad singer ever Luke Kelly.

Tickets priced €33 go on sale this Tuesday 25th September at 9am through www.ticketmaster.ie & usual outlets nationwide.
